    About the role#

    The University Honors College at Duquesne University is looking for a Marketing and Events Assistant for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the Program Coordinator with student engagement, communications, and event operations. You will work on-site at Des Places Hall for up to 15 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage and maintain Honors College social media accounts by developing and scheduling content.
    • Create graphics, flyers, digital signage, and promotional materials using Canva.
    • Maintain the Honors College events calendar and assist with publicizing events via email and digital displays.
    • Provide on-site support for events, including setup, registration, hospitality, photography, logistics, and cleanup.
    • Assist the Program Coordinator with special projects and daily operational needs.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be a current Duquesne University student in good academic standing and eligible for Federal Work Study.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
    • You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently on multiple projects.
    • Preference is given to students with experience in Canva, social media management, or event support.
    • Students pursuing degrees in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Media Studies are encouraged to apply.

    • This position is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
    • Work is performed on-site.
    • This is a paid, part-time student employment role.
