About the role#
The Office of Disability Services is hiring a Test Proctor to help administer exams for students who have approved testing accommodations. You will work in a distraction-reduced environment to ensure exams are secure and follow institutional policies. This position requires a professional approach to handling sensitive information and maintaining exam integrity.
What you'll do#
- Proctor exams for students, including tasks like acting as a scribe or providing extended time.
- Verify student identity and confirm that testing materials align with faculty instructions.
- Monitor testing sessions to enforce rules and prevent academic misconduct.
- Securely receive, distribute, and return all exam materials.
- Assist with scheduling and communicate professionally with students and faculty.
- Provide general office support, such as answering phones, managing appointments, and handling filing or scanning tasks.
- Document testing irregularities or incidents and report them to staff.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Basic proficiency with computers and office technology.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert for extended periods.
- Current enrollment as a student eligible for work-study.
