About the role#
East Stroudsburg University is hiring a Student Office Assistant to support the Business Accelerator and Entrepreneurship Program. This role assists with the J-1 VISA program, the Pocono Mountains Keystone Innovation Zone, and various campus initiatives. You will work up to 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Plan and manage events like the ESU Warrior Startup Challenge and Entrepreneurship Club meetings.
- Coordinate with university departments, faculty, staff, and external clients.
- Handle daily office tasks such as answering phones, delivering mail, and submitting work orders.
- Support marketing efforts, community outreach, competitions, and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current ESU student at least 18 years old.
- Students from all majors are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Adobe.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional writing and communication skills.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
- English literacy skills.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Pennsylvania.
- The role is paid at an hourly rate of $15.00.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, including FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearances.
