About the role#
Transfer Admission Student Ambassadors welcome prospective students and their families to East Stroudsburg University. You will work with the Transfer Center to help new students navigate their college journey. This role involves both administrative tasks and direct interaction with visitors.
What you'll do#
- Lead campus tours for prospective transfer and nontraditional students.
- Point out important campus locations and share your personal experiences at ESU.
- Answer questions and address concerns from families.
- Connect visitors with Transfer Center staff members.
- Prepare materials for events, including making folders and managing logistics.
- Support admission events, which may include weekend programs and visit activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at ESU.
- A cumulative and semester GPA of at least 2.50.
- Good academic and judicial standing.
- Ability to work well both in groups and one-on-one.
- Strong public speaking skills and professional conduct.
- Knowledge of the ESU campus and student life.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in English.
- Availability for all scheduled Admission Events.
Location & details#
- Location: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, including FBI fingerprinting and PA Child Abuse clearance.
