About the role#
This is a full-time Assurance Winter Internship with the Affordable Housing Group at EisnerAmper. The role begins in early January 2028. Interns work directly with experienced professionals on client engagements rather than performing administrative tasks. You will gain exposure to the public accounting industry and receive coaching to build technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with various aspects of financial statement audits.
- Develop a working knowledge of the firm's assurance practices.
- Learn internal systems and business processes.
- Apply classroom knowledge to real-world client scenarios.
- Collaborate with team members to carry out project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in accounting or an equivalent field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 0-2 years of recent public accounting experience.
- Pursuit of the educational requirements necessary for CPA licensure.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Strong skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- Status: Paid internship.
