About the role#
This is a part-time internship position within the SALT (State and Local Tax) group for the Winter 2027 term. You will work in a hybrid setting, requiring you to be in the Iselin office for at least 2 to 3 days per week. The role requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, spread across 3 business days between Monday and Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. You must be able to complete the full program starting in early January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Learn preparation procedures for federal and state income tax returns for corporate and individual clients.
- Assist the tax team with tax planning tasks.
- Support the completion and review of tax provisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or an equivalent program.
- A final graduation date between December 2027 and September 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 0 to 2 years of recent public accounting experience.
- Pursuing 150 academic credits or a master's degree to meet CPA licensure requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
