    About the role#

    Emerson is hiring for an Engineering Management Co-Op in Marshalltown, Iowa. This role is designed for students interested in the engineering management track. You will work within a global engineering organization focused on embedded industrial control products. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead a small, well-scoped engineering project or a sub-workstream within a larger program.
    • Coordinate across Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware disciplines.
    • Support project execution by planning, breaking down tasks, tracking schedules, and reporting status.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks.
    • Drive team alignment by facilitating stand-ups and small team reviews.
    • Track action items and follow-ups.
    • Apply structured processes including requirements, traceability, and quality practices.
    • Present project updates and outcomes to leadership.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another technical field.
    • Strong academic performance in engineering fundamentals.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
