About the role#
Entegris is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Op to join the team in Aurora, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site for a duration of six months, starting in January and ending in June. This role involves working in both office settings and operating plant areas or R&D labs.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation and improvement of EHS programs.
- Focus on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine guarding initiatives.
- Perform ergonomic risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and gap analyses.
- Develop EHS training and lead employee engagement activities.
- Collect, analyze, and present EHS data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide general support to the EHS department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in workplace safety, health, and environmental management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with university requirements for co-op participation.
