About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Metrology Scientist Co-Op for our Billerica, Massachusetts site. This is a 6-month assignment for the Winter 2027 term. You will work in our Metrology Labs to evaluate liquid filtration and purification products. This role supports membrane research and development by creating new analytical methods for testing materials.
What you'll do#
- Prepare samples and conduct trace level metals testing using ICP-MS.
- Assist senior scientists in developing methods to detect sub 20 nm particles via single nanoparticle ICP-MS.
- Design and execute method alignment across different laboratories.
- Analyze test data and suggest improvements for testing procedures.
- Document new methods and maintain accurate records.
- Share your project progress during group meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related degree program (sophomore year or higher).
- Experience with chemical handling, laboratory equipment, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with analytical chemistry basics, nanoparticles, and ICP-MS.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
