About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Nanoparticle Research Associate Co-Op for the Winter 2027 season. This position is based in Aurora, Illinois, and lasts for six months. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. Please note that Entegris does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation and characterization of nanoparticles for CMP applications.
- Perform surface modification experiments using silane chemistry.
- Use advanced analytical techniques to assess surface properties and modifications.
- Interpret experimental results and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Present your findings to the research team.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project objectives.
- Contribute technical insights and recommendations during laboratory meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Completed coursework and laboratory training in both organic and inorganic chemistry.
- Proficiency in chemical laboratory techniques and safe material handling.
- Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation.
- Exceptional accuracy and precision in experimental documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and wear required personal protective equipment in a chemical environment.
- Familiarity with your university’s requirements for co-op participation.
