    About the role#

    This internship is part of the Ignite Internships program for high school students. You will learn the operations of two small businesses by working at a restaurant and assisting with short-term rental lofts. The restaurant work is the primary focus of this role, where you will work directly under a professional chef. You will also gain experience in front of house tasks like welcoming guests and taking orders.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare, cook, and plate food in a kitchen environment.
    • Handle ordering and cleaning duties.
    • Assist with scheduling and booking for short-term rental lofts.
    • Provide customer service and set up the dining space.
    • Work as part of a team to manage daily tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be a high school student.
    • An interest in restaurant management.
    • Ability to work in a kitchen environment.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Capability to work well with others.

    Location & details#

    This is an on-site position located on Main Street in Abingdon, Virginia. The role is part-time and paid at a rate of $13.00 per hour. Hiring decisions are made by Dawn & Dusk personnel.
