About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship within the Operations Accounting department at EQT Corporation. You will gain hands-on experience in the energy industry by supporting the financial processes for upstream and midstream assets, lease acquisitions, and reserves.
What you'll do#
- Perform journal entries for month-end and ad hoc close activities.
- Complete account reconciliations, validate balances, and resolve variances.
- Analyze financial results to identify trends before reporting deadlines.
- Review non-op JIB invoices for accuracy.
- Assist with recording and tracking land and lease activity.
- Support LOE and O&M expense reviews against the budget.
- Perform data validation and testing for accounting processes.
- Gain exposure to AI and automation tools used to streamline accounting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year at an accredited 4-year institution before the start date.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with large data sets and BI tools is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is remote. Note that remote work is not available for residents of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, or Tennessee.
- Preference is given to candidates residing in EQT operating areas in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
