About the role#
We are looking for a senior level or graduate student to join our Accounting and Financial Reporting team at our headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will work in a hybrid capacity to support our growing business.
What you'll do#
- Shadow members of the accounting team to learn core financial operations.
- Prepare journal entries and perform data entry to maintain accurate financial records.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Assist with account reconciliations and month end closing tasks.
- Prepare financial reports, conduct trend analysis, and perform peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows for key business processes, including identifying systems, risks, and internal controls.
- Compile data to help streamline processes and track information.
- Take on additional tasks and projects to gain exposure to accounting and office operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Completion of a variety of accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
