About the role#
This internship provides experience in land development within a multidisciplined engineering firm. You will work on projects that impact local infrastructure and community development. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze reports, maps, aerial photographs, and hydrological data to plan project designs.
- Determine project feasibility and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Create design documents using computer-assisted engineering software.
- Prepare and modify specifications, plans, and environmental impact studies.
- Coordinate project activities and resolve issues with your supervisor and support staff.
- Research regulations and design techniques.
- Prepare presentation renderings, material boards, and planting plans.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suites.
- Skills in hand drawing, rendering, or Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of native plants.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team.
Location & details#
- Locations: Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Rogers, or Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Limited to short or day trips for site visits and client meetings.
