About the role#
As a Project Management Intern, you will support the successful completion of construction projects from initial hand-off through final close-out. You will work directly with the project management team to assist in planning, scheduling, and financial control. This role involves both office tasks and site visits to support our construction operations.
What you'll do#
- Organize and plan for the safe and efficient execution of assigned projects.
- Assist in maintaining financial controls, including tracking project profit and loss.
- Help develop and maintain the project schedule.
- Collaborate with the project management team to estimate, price, and negotiate project costs.
- Coordinate with Superintendents and Estimating teams to ensure project success.
- Assist with department initiatives and solve problems as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Engineering.
- Competency with computers and basic software programs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization and detail-oriented work habits.
- Proven problem-solving skills and an adaptable work style.

- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, paid internship.
- Travel: Light travel between the office and job sites may be required.
- Work Environment: You will work in both office and field settings, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, traffic, heights, or confined spaces.
