About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in energy technology. You will join the team in Perrysburg to work on site-wide throughput and yield improvement projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze throughput constraints and scrap data.
- Investigate production issues and report on daily status.
- Learn to use JMP statistical software and new scrap-handling tools.
- Collaborate with various groups to collect data and perform root-cause analysis.
- Create and present PowerPoint updates in technical forums.
- Develop standard operating procedures and monitor their deployment on the factory floor.
- Support lab sample preparation and production floor experiments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program, or Data Science.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to identify root causes using data analytics.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts.
- Good communication skills for working across different functions.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Six Sigma is a plus.

- Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (3-6 months).
- Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 27 pounds, climb stairs, and wear required personal protective equipment including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
