About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Structural Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our structural team on project design and analysis. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing and analyzing structural components and systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Join site visits to observe construction and verify design compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other team members.
- Use CAD software and engineering tools to support design development.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A basic understanding of structural engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
