    About the role#

    As an NPI Process Engineering Co-op, you will work with process engineers to move new products from the prototype stage into pilot line production. You will report to the NPI Engineering Manager and support the transition of products to contract manufacturing.

    What you'll do#

    • Assess new medical product designs for manufacturability and assembly.
    • Build electro-mechanical assemblies to help define process flows and identify potential risks.
    • Create assembly process documentation for pilot production teams and contract manufacturers.
    • Collaborate with the lead process engineer to identify and develop assembly and test tools.
    • Assist with product assembly issue evaluation and team-based problem solving.
    • Support equipment development and validation, including designing and executing experiments to determine production operating limits.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Strong initiative and personal ownership of your work.
    • Mechanical aptitude and experience with structured problem-solving methods.
    • Basic to intermediate proficiency in SolidWorks, including part, assembly, and 2D drawing creation.
    • Technical or creative writing skills.
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience working in a machine shop is preferred.

    • Location: Hollis, New Hampshire.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
    • Sponsorship: Not available.
