About the role#
The Single-Family Business Technology Office is looking for Software Developer Interns to support our business operations and technology platforms. You will work on projects that modernize cloud capabilities, manage technology risk, and improve system resiliency. This internship provides exposure to application development, business intelligence, and data visualization within a professional financial services environment.
What you'll do#
- Refine user stories, assess acceptance criteria, and contribute to sprint tasks.
- Write or update code, unit tests, automation scripts, dashboards, and reports.
- Support production releases, bug resolution, and root-cause analysis.
- Work within an Agile team to communicate the business value of your technical solutions.
- Participate in intern trainings, bootcamps, and hackathons while using AI-enabled tools responsibly.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028, with a preference for rising juniors.
- Introductory coding experience with Java, C/C++, Python, Angular, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, business tools, reporting, and data visualization software like Tableau.
- Strong interest in learning new technologies and understanding Freddie Mac business processes.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).

- Compensation: Paid at a rate of $32 per hour.
