About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the power generation industry. You will work on technical assignments across systems, analysis, design, quality, reliability, digital, and integration and test. The program is designed to prepare you for a career in engineering while tackling energy challenges.
What you'll do#
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced managers.
- Grow your technical expertise and build skills in new areas.
- Perform design and analysis for product lines, including steam turbines, gas turbines, gas engines, and generators.
- Develop and implement new design concepts and improvements.
- Collaborate with the drafting team to create or update drawings.
- Partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems during the production process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering disciplines.
- One to two semesters remaining before graduation.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working as a team player.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2027 term.
- Locations include Greenville, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Schenectady, New York.
- This position is paid.
