About the role#
GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy is seeking an intern to support licensing activities for the current boiling water reactor fleet in the United States. This internship program begins in May 2027 and runs through August 2027. You will work on-site in Wilmington, North Carolina, for 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Develop strategic plans to implement power uprates for the global fleet of boiling water reactor nuclear plants.
- Review, interpret, and implement new nuclear regulations and guidance into existing procedures and processes.
- Gain familiarity with nuclear licensing methodologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred.
