    About the role#

    GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy offers engineering internships for students interested in advanced reactor technology and carbon-free power. You will work on technical assignments in a hands-on environment while receiving mentorship from experienced technologists. This role is a paid, full-time opportunity based in Wilmington, North Carolina.

    What you'll do#

    • Receive technical guidance and coaching from experienced managers and engineers.
    • Develop your technical skills while exploring new areas of expertise.
    • Work on projects focused on systems, design, reliability, digital integration, and testing.
    • Perform product line analysis, build models, conduct research, and solve engineering problems.
    • Collaborate with team members and other internal organizations.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
    • Graduation date set for May or December 2028 or 2029.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Ability to access information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
    • Compensation: Weekly pay ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 depending on completed years of study.
