About the role#
GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy offers engineering internships for students interested in advanced reactor technology and carbon-free power. You will work on technical assignments in a hands-on environment while receiving mentorship from experienced technologists. This role is a paid, full-time opportunity based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Receive technical guidance and coaching from experienced managers and engineers.
- Develop your technical skills while exploring new areas of expertise.
- Work on projects focused on systems, design, reliability, digital integration, and testing.
- Perform product line analysis, build models, conduct research, and solve engineering problems.
- Collaborate with team members and other internal organizations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Graduation date set for May or December 2028 or 2029.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to access information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws.
