    About the role#

    This is a hands-on co-op position for students pursuing degrees in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Computer Science. You will work directly on control systems and electrical support for plant operations. This role involves leading electrical projects, supporting maintenance personnel, and providing technical guidance to resolve equipment issues.

    What you'll do#

    • Investigate system and equipment problems to provide technical solutions.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for machine failures.
    • Program manufacturing technology including PLC, HMI, and robotics.
    • Develop cost estimates, investment forecasts, and project plans for minor activities.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing engineers on process planning and equipment installation.
    • Assist maintenance teams with the operation and upkeep of specialized equipment.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Enrollment in a co-op program through Kettering University or Rochester Institute of Technology.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2030.
    • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
    • Willingness to work in a manufacturing plant environment.

    • Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
    • Locations: Detroit, MI; Flint, MI; Lake Orion, MI; Romulus, MI; Toledo, OH; Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
