About the role#
This 12-week internship provides hands-on experience within the Customer Care and Aftersales team. You will learn the responsibilities of a District Manager, Parts and Service while supporting General Motors dealers across the United States. The program includes regional field visits, dealer interactions, and a two-week immersion at the Central Office in Warren, Michigan. You will work on a capstone project that addresses a real business opportunity and present your findings to leadership at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze field-level information with regional and Central Office teams.
- Identify trends and key drivers of parts and service performance.
- Develop practical insights and repeatable reporting tools.
- Support regional initiatives, campaigns, and dealer engagement strategies.
- Participate in field visits and structured shadowing experiences.
- Translate dealer and customer feedback into observations and recommendations.
- Prepare concise updates on project progress, risks, and learnings.
- Complete a capstone project addressing a regional opportunity.
- Present project findings and recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer.
- Willingness to travel extensively within your assigned region.
- Willingness to travel to the Central Office in Warren, Michigan, for a required two-week immersion.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with a team.
- Demonstrated leadership through academics, extracurricular activities, prior internships, or community involvement.
- Experience working with information, dashboards, or business analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and take initiative in ambiguous situations.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with frequent travel required (at least 75%).
- Locations: Westlake Village, CA; Alpharetta, GA; Coppell, TX; Warren, MI; Danbury, CT.
