About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment. You will assist skilled trade personnel with the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment. The role focuses on root cause analysis, mechanical problem solving, and providing technical support to production teams. You will work directly with manufacturing technology to improve processes and support daily plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Analyze products, processes, and technology to determine the best manufacturing methods.
- Support preventative maintenance on new and existing tooling.
- Troubleshoot special maintenance and equipment problems.
- Assist in the design and building of tools and equipment.
- Recommend improvements to existing manufacturing processes.
- Interact with a large group of skilled trade employees and support personnel.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Technology, or a related tool and die program.
- Expected graduation date between August 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment with physical requirements including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a loud, non-climate controlled manufacturing setting.
