About the role#
GHJ is hiring Tax Interns for the Winter 2027 term in our Buffalo, New York office. This is a paid, part-time position that runs from January 19, 2027, through April 16, 2027. You will work in a hybrid capacity on-site at our Buffalo location. This role is designed for students interested in a career in accounting who want to gain professional experience through hands-on assignments.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and assist with tax consulting projects.
- Support IRS and FTB audit processes.
- Communicate directly with the IRS, FTB, and similar agencies.
- Shadow team members across the department to support your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.
