About the role#
GHJ offers a Summer 2027 Audit/Tax Rotational Internship in Los Angeles. This full-time program splits interns into two groups to gain hands-on experience in both Audit and Tax departments. Midway through the summer, groups rotate to ensure exposure to both service lines. This structure helps you explore interests in core accounting areas before making long-term career decisions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with audit, review, or compilation procedures.
- Prepare and index working papers to verify the accuracy of client financial matters.
- Help prepare tax returns and participate in tax consulting projects.
- Communicate with the IRS, FTB, and similar agencies.
- Document work completed according to firm guidelines.
- Participate in engagement planning and build relationships with client personnel.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2028 and August 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Openness to travel to client locations, including occasional overnight stays.
