About the role#
GHJ is seeking an Advisory Intern for our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team in Los Angeles. This full-time summer internship runs from June 14, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with client transaction work, collaborate directly with our TAS professionals, and dive into real-world assignments. Interns are paid $33 per hour and will be off during the firm's Wellness Week.
What you'll do#
- Participate in client discussions and project meetings.
- Conduct research and analysis for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) engagements.
- Prepare analyses, schedules, reports, and deliverables for clients.
- Identify business challenges and accounting matters.
- Recalculate client earnings and provide offer commentary to support conclusions.
- Work with client data to identify trends and support growth trajectories.
- Collaborate with offshore teams by sharing data and providing guidance on analytical tasks.
- Apply technical accounting competencies to practical situations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2028 and August 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel.
- Ability to work with large or incomplete data sets to identify trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving and research capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A high level of motivation and interest in professional growth.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
