About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to Global External Quality projects within the PDM department. You will gain experience in a biotechnology research environment while working on data governance and process improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop process maps and workflows for supplier master data creation, maintenance, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Document current-state processes, stakeholders, systems, and data flows across functions.
- Analyze supplier master data structures to identify gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies.
- Support the assessment of data governance practices, roles, and decision-making processes.
- Identify and recommend improvements for business processes, data quality, and Quality Management System capabilities.
- Facilitate interviews and information-gathering sessions with business and quality stakeholders.
- Utilize AI tools to improve data analysis workflows.
- Prepare process documentation, presentations, and summary reports for leadership.
- Present your work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program, with continued enrollment in the following Fall semester.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to 10-12 consecutive weeks of full-time work between May and August.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented approach to managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
