About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives within the Internal Quality department. You will gain experience in a regulated biotechnology environment while supporting projects that focus on process simplification, standardization, and efficiency. The role involves a mix of data analysis, project coordination, and exposure to quality systems like GMP and GLP.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and maintaining Operational Excellence dashboards and reports.
- Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from QA and QC processes.
- Track key performance indicators, project milestones, and benefit realization metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and bottlenecks to support process improvement.
- Prepare data summaries, presentations, and visualizations for leadership reviews.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis activities.
- Map current-state processes and document improvement opportunities.
- Support cross-functional teams in executing initiatives and maintaining project records.
- Learn foundational principles of quality systems and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Independent work authorization in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

- Location: Foster City, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (on-site work required).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $19.00 - $55.00.
