About the role#
The Environmental Intern works with Environmental Program Managers in Malta, New York. You will assist with projects designed to improve the site's environmental performance. This position offers exposure to environmental management systems and regulatory requirements within semiconductor manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Track and report on resource conservation projects, including greenhouse gas reductions, water conservation, and landfill avoidance.
- Help the Regional Environmental team improve process documentation and develop metrics to demonstrate program health.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, logistics, and quality teams to find new opportunities that support regional environmental goals.
- Perform tasks to support overall Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program.
- Pursuing a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or any engineering discipline.
- Minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
