About the role#
This internship at our Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont, focuses on sustaining and running the fab floor. You will take on an intern project to lead from start to finish and present your results at an end of year poster session. This role involves resolving equipment and process issues while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps, including equipment selection, configuration, startup, and volume ramp.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment for performance, yield, and reliability.
- Lead hands-on, tactical troubleshooting to resolve long-term equipment performance issues.
- Collaborate with integration and process engineering teams to support next-generation technology development.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner while following environmental, health, and security requirements.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- You maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- You have the ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- You are mechanically inclined and comfortable deconstructing complex systems.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
