About the role#
Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. offers a 10-12 week summer internship for students interested in the construction industry. This program provides exposure to heavy civil and industrial projects. You will rotate through departments including project management, estimating, safety, and business development to gain a broad view of how projects are bid, managed, and executed. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Managers with cost tracking reports.
- Help Estimators organize subcontractor pricing for bids.
- Conduct field site visits to track production rates.
- Complete long-term projects aimed at improving internal company processes.
- Participate in professional development events and safety training, including 30-hour OSHA certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year bachelor's degree program in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and a focus on creative problem solving.
- Capability to communicate and work effectively with others.
- Initiative to take on tasks beyond daily responsibilities.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
