About the role#
This internship provides John Deere Ag Tech students with hands-on experience in a dealership service department. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn service-related activities while completing the John Deere Ag Tech program. This position involves both classroom and practical shop learning.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment.
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to build your technical skills.
- Shadow senior personnel to gain experience in the service department.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while working.
- Complete necessary reports, forms, and time cards accurately for all work and materials used.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Current enrollment in an AAS Degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using technical manuals and specialized tools.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
