    About the role#

    This internship offers John Deere Ag Tech students a chance to gain hands-on experience in a dealership service department. You will work alongside senior technicians and managers to perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment. The program combines classroom learning with practical work in the shop.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
    • Complete Service EDUCATE training programs to build your skills.
    • Stay current on John Deere products and those of our competitors.
    • Track your time and materials accurately using required forms and time cards.
    • Complete all reports linked to your work assignments.

    What you'll need#

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Current enrollment in an AAS degree program for John Deere Tech.
    • Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • A valid driver's license.
    • The ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.

    • Location: Lemmon, South Dakota.
    • Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Compensation: $22 per hour for the first year, increasing to $24 for the second year.
