About the role#
This internship provides John Deere Ag Tech students with hands-on experience in a dealership service department. You will work alongside experienced technicians to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment. This program combines classroom learning with practical shop work, supported by the Service Manager and shop leadership.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products.
- Shadow service personnel to gain technical experience.
- Complete Service EDUCATE training programs to build your skills.
- Stay current on John Deere and competitive equipment.
- Manage your time cards and document materials used for all assignments.
- Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an AAS Degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use special tools to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Forklift certification is preferred.

- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22 per hour for the first year, increasing to $24 per hour for the second year.
