About the role#
Gritt Robotics builds physical AI for large-scale construction. As an intern, you own a specific project from start to finish. You work with a mentor and present your work to the team. This role is available for either 3 or 6 months. It is a full-time, paid position based on-site in South San Francisco. PhD interns have the opportunity to publish their work.
What you'll do#
- Build and operate training, data, and evaluation infrastructure used by the software team.
- Manage GPU clusters, orchestration, and data pipelines at scale.
- Instrument, monitor, and harden the pipelines you ship.
- Test your work on real robots at the office.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong skills in Python.
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or GCP.
- Evidence of building infrastructure or data systems.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Ray, Spark, Terraform, or observability tools is a plus.
