About the role#
Gritt Robotics offers scoped internships where you own a deliverable from start to finish. You will work with a mentor and present your results to the team. This position is available for either 3 or 6 months. We offer paid positions for students pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate perception components using real robot data.
- Build datasets and evaluation harnesses to run experiments and report findings.
- Integrate your modules into the live robot software stack.
- Work on pose estimation, VLMs, VLAs, 3D scene reconstruction, object detection, and multimodal learning.
- Test your work on real robots at the office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an MS or PhD program in Robotics, CS, EE, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with PyTorch and computer vision fundamentals.
- Evidence of applied work through projects, competitions, publications, or industry experience.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
- Experience with sensor drivers, CUDA, 3D geometry, or multi-sensor fusion is helpful but not required.
