About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy field operations. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the system and the industry to prepare for a future career in agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Follow company safety, environmental, and compliance policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator’s license.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions or at heights.
- Willingness to travel independently and work overnight when necessary.

- Compensation: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour.
