About the role#
The Tax Collegiate Associate Intern position offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience in corporate taxation at Gulfstream Aerospace. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support federal and state tax reporting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the tax department.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal tax returns and supporting tax adjustments.
- Assist with the preparation of property and sales tax returns.
- Partner with the accounting team to support the monthly closing process, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Provide analysis and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Complete special projects and ad-hoc management reporting.
- Follow safety rules and ensure compliance with company regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor degree or higher in Tax, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded), which must be listed on your resume.
- Ability to work on-site in Savannah, Georgia, for the Spring 2027 semester.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and demonstrate initiative.
