About the role#
As an R&D Intern, you will join the External Innovation and Advanced Materials team at H.B. Fuller. You will work on projects that support long-range innovation, focusing on raw material formulation and product development across several technology platforms. This is a 12-week paid, full-time program running from late May to mid-August.
What you'll do#
- Conduct guided research alongside experienced scientists.
- Develop and optimize adhesives for various industrial applications.
- Use AI and ML tools to assist in product development.
- Perform product testing and application evaluations using standard laboratory methods.
- Assess new raw materials and technologies to improve product performance.
- Write technical reports and maintain project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in synthetic chemistry research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary scientific teams.

- Compensation: $22 to $25 per hour.
