About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within our Roadway Engineering discipline. You will assist our team in planning and designing construction documents for rural and urban roadways, freeways, and interstates. You will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to gain hands-on experience with real-world infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Gather data for engineering and environmental reports.
- Perform and review calculations related to geometrics.
- Use engineering software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Conduct field investigations and provide survey assistance.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver’s license.

- This role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship offered on a rolling basis.
