About the role#
We are looking for a Product Manager (Engineering) Intern to join our Component Solutions team in Elgin, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our legacy electrical connector products to evaluate market competition and support new business opportunities. Please note that we do not provide housing for this role.
What you'll do#
- Learn our industrial-grade electrical connector product line, including specifications and applications.
- Conduct research and SWOT analyses to assess the competition.
- Support new product development projects, including launch timelines and strategic promotions.
- Partner with sales, engineering, and marketing teams to address customer needs.
- Create deliverables such as sales literature, product training materials, and inventory lists.
- Maintain and update product presentations and training resources.
- Contribute to overall product strategy by estimating profits, inventory levels, pricing, and product positioning.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A strong interest in the intersection of engineering and business strategy.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Experience with 2D or 3D CAD software is a plus.

- Compensation: Pay ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, based on your class standing and experience.
