About the role#
Hatch is hiring a Tailings Geotech Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. You will work from our Mississauga head office, reporting to the Lead of Tailings. This role involves supporting engineering projects that range from pre-feasibility studies to detailed engineering and operational support. You will gain experience through both office tasks and site-based work.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support for mine waste projects.
- Assist in the planning and execution of site investigations for mine waste facilities.
- Help senior staff with business development and marketing efforts.
- Prepare expressions of interest and project proposals for new and existing clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Prior experience with tailings, water, or mine closure projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio and gINT.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- A full G-class driver license.
