About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work with the Joico brand team during the Summer of 2027. You will support the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle while gaining exposure to project management and brand strategy.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the NPD lifecycle from initial concept through execution.
- Shadow project leaders on specific Joico brand initiatives.
- Support project management tasks and execution workflows.
- Conduct competitive assessments within hair care and styling categories to identify market gaps.
- Research consumer trends and sentiment regarding product and ingredient innovations.
- Attend weekly core team meetings and cross-functional sessions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop product names, fragrance profiles, benefits, and claims.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a first-year MBA student with an emphasis in Marketing or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to gather and analyze large data sets to create fact-based recommendations.
- Strong writing and organizational skills for developing product concepts.
- A genuine interest in the beauty industry.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a professional environment.

- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $27 to $37 per hour.
- Note: This position does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support.
