About the role#
As an R&D Process Engineering Intern, you will apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will work within the Consumer Brands unit to support the development and engineering of products like Persil, all, Snuggle, and various beauty brands. This role focuses on the practical side of bringing consumer goods to market.
What you'll do#
- Support process development and engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams, including product development, analytical, and packaging groups.
- Work with supply chain partners throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Design, optimize, or scale up manufacturing processes to meet quality specifications.
- Participate in innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
- Build your professional network by engaging with colleagues across different departments.
- Gain an understanding of how process engineering fits into the commercialization of consumer-packaged goods.
What you'll need#
- Standing as a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Experience in undergraduate research or similar hands-on technical work.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, data sets, and technical challenges.
- Solid project planning and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in laboratory practices, including safety compliance, record keeping, and experimental technique.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to team goals.

- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour.
