About the role#
This internship focuses on the design, development, and testing of GNSS signal tracking, GNSS/INS positioning, and post-mission processing features for the NovAtel product line. You will work with engineering teams to gain a theoretical and practical understanding of positioning technologies across different phases of the product lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Collect data to investigate existing and new technologies.
- Analyze performance and functional data using statistical and graphical methods.
- Perform formal and exploratory testing while updating system documentation.
- Use GNSS simulation tools to build repeatable automated tests.
- Analyze and monitor GNSS constellation behavior.
- Investigate reported field issues and resolve system defects.
- Help improve and expand existing regression testing capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering Internship or Co-op program, having completed at least 3 years of study.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, or Geomatics Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Availability for a 12-month work term at 37.5 hours per week.
- A valid class 5 driver's license.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.

- This position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The internship term runs from May 3, 2027, to May 3, 2028.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
