About the role#
Hexagon is looking for a Geomatics Engineering Intern to join the Autonomous Solutions team. This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of GNSS signal tracking, GNSS/INS positioning, and post-mission processing features for our Novatel product line. You will work on multiple projects across different phases of the product lifecycle and gain practical experience with tracking and positioning technologies.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data using statistical and graphical analysis.
- Perform formal and exploratory testing to improve product robustness.
- Develop repeatable automated tests using GNSS simulation tools.
- Investigate reported field issues and resolve system defects.
- Analyze and monitor GNSS constellation behaviour.
- Update documentation to build system knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Electrical, Computer, Software, or Geomatics Engineering or Computer Science program.
- Completion of at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of the term.
- Registration in an Engineering Internship or Co-op program.
- Availability for a 12-month full-time work term.
- Strong communication skills and academic credentials.

- This position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The internship term runs from May 3, 2027, to May 2, 2028.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
