About the role#
Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is hiring a Software Test Engineering Intern to join our team in Calgary. This role focuses on software verification and validation, working directly with our test designers to ensure product quality. You will be part of a team developing solutions for assured positioning and autonomy.
What you'll do#
- Design, execute, and maintain verification and validation scripts using Python.
- Deploy and monitor tests within the Jenkins continuous integration system.
- Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data.
- Document test designs, specifications, runs, results, and requirement compliance.
- Troubleshoot test failures and conduct root cause analysis.
- Refine functional and performance requirements for validation traceability.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or Engineering Internship/Co-op program.
- Completion of at least your 2nd or 3rd year of study by the start date.
- Availability for a 12-month work term.
- A valid class 5 driver license.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Academic focus in Computer Science, Geomatics, or Computer Software Engineering.
- Interest in software development verification, data analysis, and technologies like Python, C++, Git, Jira, and Jenkins is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work term runs from May 3, 2027, to May 1, 2028.
