About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. You will gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting while supporting patient care and department operations.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select technical parameters for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians during imaging tasks.
- Complete documentation for billing, regulatory requirements, and image distribution.
- Implement radiation safety and protection standards.
- Attend to patient comfort and document clinical information to help maintain efficient patient flow.
- Maintain department supplies and assist in preparing contrast media or medications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
